IND vs WI Toss and Live Score

india vs wi toss t20 match MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first. Carlos seemed to be pretty much satisfied after loosing the toss and said they will give a tough fight to the Indian team.

West Indies started with Evin Lewis and Johnson Charles as the opening pair and India came in with Md. Shami. A nightmare of an over as Charles went after every ball of Shami, 17 runs of the first over. West Indies stand at 17/0 after first over.

It seems that the opening pair for West Indies has come in an aggressive mode as they are taking at almost every ball. After the end of the second over West Indies stand at 24/0, a decent over by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Charles and Lewis seem to have forgotten that they are on a cricket ground, seems like a baseball match.

Bumrah, starts the third over of the match, and is no different. Bumrah gives away 9 runs from his first over as West Indies stand at 33/0 after 3 overs. Bhuvi comes and bowls the fourth over of the India vs West Indies T20 match and results are still the same, seems Dhoni is short of options. Kumar gives away 13 Runs and WI end at 46/0 after 4 overs.

End of over 5 (18 runs) – West Indies 64/0 – (RR: 12.80)

J Charles 38 (16b 5×4 2×6) and E Lewis 25 (14b 2×4 1×6)

End of over 6 (14 runs) West Indies 78/0 (RR: 13.00)

J Charles 51 (21b 5×4 4×6) and E Lewis 26 (15b 2×4 1×6)

Charles strikes another quick 50 Runs as West Indies stand 78/0 after the end of 6 overs. Jadeja comes and bowls the 7th over and Lewis goes big, hits 2 grand sixes on the first 2 balls.

End of over 7 (13 runs) West Indies 91/0 (RR: 13.00)

Its Raining Sixes – Lewis and Charles, 100 Run Stand

At the end of 8 overs, West Indies stand 101/0 and when you look at the number of 6’s hit, Charles has hit 5 sixes and Lewis has hit 3 sixes. Its 8 overs and 8 sixes hit by both the batsman along with 7 boundaries. And as we talk, we see Jadeja coming in starting with the 9th over where Charles starts with a boundary on the first ball and then a huge six. West Indies end at 121/0 after the end of 9 overs. A brilliant 100 run stand between Charles and Lewis and remind you, we are not missing Gayle anymore, isn’t it?

End of over 9 (20 runs) West Indies 121/0 (RR: 13.44)

Dhoni is running short of options and has to come back to his main line bowlers, Shami is back in to the attack and guess what Charles is OUT!! The first wicket for Indian team and a sigh of relief!! Andre Russel comes into bat and it seems its going to be a difficult situation to sustain these West Indian batsman.

End of over 10 (11 runs) West Indies 132/1 (RR: 13.20)

Stuart Binny comes into bowl his first over and Lewis seems to be in a very dangerous mood as he starts with a huge six. Now when you start reading his stats after 5 bowls, it will read, 6,6,Wide,6,6,6,1 – Lewis was almost about to equal Yuvraj’s record of six 6’s in an over.

End of over 11 (32 runs) West Indies 164/1 (RR: 14.90)
E Lewis 82 (32b 4×4 8×6) and AD Russell 1 (1b)

Ravi Ashwin comes into bowl the 12th over and seems to be quiet over against the West Indies standard. Just 4 runs of the over. Lewis is standing at 82 runs of just 37 balls, what a brilliant innings.

End of over 12 (4 runs) West Indies 168/1 (RR: 14.00)

Kumar comes into bowl the 13th over of the innings and goes for a huge six and boundary in the over. West Indies end at 181/1 after the end of 13 overs. Ashwin starts the 14th over of the innings as we look at the run rate of the innings which is 14. Ashwin just gives away 8 runs in the over and ends at the figures of 36 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

End of over 14 (8 runs) West Indies 189/1 (RR: 13.50)
